- In the USA, Travelzoo sends out weekly lists of the best travel deals (flights, cruises, vacation packages).
- In Europe, check out WhichBudget.com for cheap flights in the continent. It lets you pick the source and destination countries and tells you which airlines operate to the location.

With over 30,000 songs in my iTunes library you can guess that I have quite diverse taste in music. Generally, I like the alternative / indie bands. It's not always easy keeping up on new bands, especially when you're not into top 40, but some places to go for info include: NME, Passport Approved, KCRW and KEXP. Also check out Pandora for listening to music and finding recommendations based on artists you like.

Hola, mi nombre es Spanky, el mono loco. ;) Before Amelie, before the AT&T commercial, before time itself there was me. . .traveling the world as an international ambassador of goodwill and sweeeet monkey love. Back in 2004 I decided to stowaway with this guy named Tom since he was going on a big trip around the world. Upon arrival in London, I used coercion, torture and hand puppets to convince Tom to be my official photographer during his journey. I visited hundreds of cities, got my picture with numerous landmarks, broke many young ladies' hearts and even picked up some new threads along the way. There were a few dull months in 2006 but then I hitched a ride with Tom again as he embarked on a trip to Eastern Europe. More photos, more broken hearts. Ah, what can I say, the ladies love me. In the spring of 2007 I ditched that loser Tom and joined up with an old friend, Marcela. She took me on a criss-cross journey of Europe and even a visit to Russia. In 2008 I had a brief escape to Puerto Rico and traveled SE Asia with Jessica. It's 2009 now and I'm stuck with Tom again [sigh]. He took me to Mexico for Wendy's wedding and I may be going back to SE Asia this summer with Jodie. This monkey doesn't like to sit still!
